The Inpatient Recruitment Coordinator role is responsible for timely recruitment, screening and enrollment of qualified subjects for multiple research studies and for supporting recruitment-related administrative and media activities across a multi-site organization.
Duties
- Speaks professionally to potential subjects to obtain detailed medical history information. Explains studies and procedures and determines study eligibility based on inclusion and exclusion criteria
- Schedules appointments for pre-qualified study subjects
- Tracks all study related recruiting activity and ensures that recruitment plan milestones are achieved
- Completes data entry into database used to track potential study subjects
- Utilizes subject database to identify potential subjects for upcoming and current clinical trials
- Supports staff and management with recruitment ideas and participates in the development and implementation of study and site-specific recruiting materials
- Plans and participates in community outreach programs such as: health fairs, community events, and advocacy groups
- Networks with local facilities, doctor’s offices, boarding homes, hospitals, and other organizations
- Visits boarding homes, outpatient clinics, day treatment programs to explain clinical research to potential study subjects and organizational staff
- Transportation of research subjects to and from the clinic
Skills & Qualifications
- Clinical research experience is a plus
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to a variety of audiences
- Mental health experience is required
- High school degree/equivalent required
- Willing to travel to various local facilities, as needed, to recruit and network
- Clean driving record and current, valid driver’s license is required
